Superman for Super-me

Seattle is such an awesome place. Recently, I went to the Columbia Center with a buddy of mine. The images I took are just cellphone pictures, but still amazing. The experience and view definitely exceeds the photos. The view was beautiful and overwhelming! If you look at the photograph with Quest Stadium; directly across from the stadium’s parking lot, proudly stands Seattle’s coolest start-up, Visible Technologies!

The Gap did a cool remake of a clip from Audrey Hepburn’s film, Funny Face. I love that movie! Rosie has the song, “Funny Face,” memorized. In college, I was taking a photography class. There were a couple times I had to bring her with me, so she would watch Funny Face, with her earphones and portable DVD player. It was cute to listen to her sing the song. She likes watching Fred Estaire and Audrey Hepburn sing and dance, almost as much I enjoy it. Though, Roman Holiday and Breakfast at Tiffany’s will always be my top favorites, over any other movie, regardless if Audrey Hepburn is the star or not. I was cracking up yesterday because the final Jeopardy answer related to a quote from Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Of course, I knew that Truman Capote was the author. Go figure that my liberal arts degree and love of Audrey would become useful in a game of Jeopardy.

My mom always told me, it doesn’t matter what you wear, rather it is how you carry yourself. I’ve always been a big fan of Audrey Hepburn’s style. Her ’50s beatnik-influenced clothes were the perfect compliment to her rebellious character in Funny Face. The detail and craftsmanship of her Givenchy gowns in Sabrina, were the perfect fantasy for Audrey’s character transformation from girl over the garage to elegant lady. Though her clothes were beautiful and fashionable in her films, then and now; she was never outshadowed by her clothes.Audrey Hepburn - Style Icon

I can’t escape the computer. I am doing a little online research. My eyes hurt. I am always on the computer and I am always reading.  I like this Blog, “What SEO isn’t.”

And FYI, I am a  Spartan! LOL! Just a tired Spartan at the moment.

Love this scene and John Cusack:

I can hear the boom box, “In your eyes…”
